Some Pursue Happiness

November 14, 2009

 Life was made

Under a cascade of lights,

 Of sparkling music.

                                              O smiling love!

The monument to their desolation torn away,

They bend to caress invisible flowers…

                                        Two souls together

                               Drinking cups near a well

Not believing themselves worthy of the revelation,

They finally see the far sides of the clouds.

                        What a luminous construction!

The solitude which was their daily bread

                          Troubles their sleep no more.

They cry softly today a deeply buried happiness

                         And they accompany the sun.

                     The euphoria of afternoon swims

Intoxicate the grasses with the sea foam of life.

They give of the omnipotence of their hearts.

Only the shared road knows the secret

To becoming what we will be tomorrow

                                             (I need you so!)
